The Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN) is on Sky for Television channel 589 and Radio on channel 0147, making this excellent and fully Catholic television channel available to over seven million viewers in the UK.
This station explains the Catholic faith in all its glory, and includes daily mass, prayers, news, current affairs, chat shows, teaching, children's programs and movies.
EWTN was begun in 1981 by Mother Angelica, in Alabama, USA, under the first TV broadcasting licence granted to a monastery. Now in its 24th year, EWTN has become the largest religious media network in the world, transmitting programming 24 hours a day to more than 105 million homes in 110 countries and 16 territories, its mission - to bring the Eternal Word of Jesus Christ to all.
