This Two Volume set of the Breviarium Romanum 1962 contains the complete canonical hours of the day in Latin. For the first time since 1962, a new edition of the Breviarium Romanum, the Church's traditional book of hours in Latin, was published by nova & vetera in November 2008. Like the so-called '1962 editions', the new edition also follows exactly those in the Motu Proprio 'Rubricarum Instructum' in July 1960 by the Blessed Pope John XXIII. enacted headings. According to can. 826 II CIC confirmed by the granting of the imprimatur by His Ex. Bishop Gregor Maria Hanke OSB. Strongly bound, with 4 coloured silk markers per volume. The gold gilded page edges are beautiful and finely crafted. The paper is very thin yet durable. Each tome lays flat either in your hand or on a surface. The text is well laid out and very readable. with a large, clear, and attractive font. Included with this set are 4 individual prayer cards containing the Te Deum, Psalm 94, the Benedictus, the Magnificat, and the final Antiphons of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
