Mrs. Rose Hu spent twenty-six years in the labour camps in China from 1955 to 1981. After converting to Catholicism at age sixteen she was arrested at twenty-two because of her membership in the Legion of Mary. Each chapter of her book shows how she stood firm in her faith and radiated the love of Christ. Recently translated into English, this is an inspirational story of a young woman's life in communist China, that would eventually lead her to the Catholic Faith. She gives her account of Catholics suffering in a Chinese labour camp during the communists' persecutions in the 1950's. Her story of suffering was recommended by Fr. Daniel Couture, SSPX, her spiritual director.
