Details

Our Lady of Quito, as she is known in the English-speaking world, is known in Ecuador as La Dolorosa, which means 'The Sorrowful Lady'. La Dolorosa was officially crowned by Pope Pius XII in 1956, the fiftieth anniversary of her picture miraculously opening and closing its eyes in front of forty children who attended a Jesuit boarding school which was being persecuted by Freemasons who had developed a throttling grip over the Catholic country. Shortly afterwards the picture was transferred to a local church and the miracle was repeated and witnessed by numerous adults, including atheists who thereupon converted. This booklet, illustrated with black and white photos, includes a hymn and prayer to Our Lady of Quito.
