Cenacle last recommended ordering dates for Christmas

UK Standard Shipping: Tuesday 19th December 9am*

Cenacle dispatch department will be closed from Wed 20 Dec 2023 to Wed 3 Jan 2024. Orders may still be placed, but orders received after 9am Tue 19 December will be processed after Thurs 4 January 2024.

Delivery Charges - UK Mainland

Orders are usually processed and shipped in 2-3 working days. You will receive an email once your order is dispatched - we will contact you by email if there is problem with your order, or there if there will be a delay to dispatch.

 

Our UK standard shipping means orders are shipped using Royal Mail 1st Class or Tracked 48 (depending on size). For non-tracked parcels, please wait a week after dispatch before contacting us. If you have been provided with a tracking number, please use it to track your parcel. Please communicate preferably via email to sales@cenacle.co.uk, or leave a telephone message. Please note: showroom visits and customer collections from our Skelmersdale premises strictly by appointment - please initially contact us by email or telephone (answer machine service). Online orders and payment only, cheque/postal order payments are not supported.

Standard Shipping

Delivery Charges UK* Standard Shipping (Royal Mail First Class**): £3.95 (£2.95 for up to 5 greetings cards/small items)

Free Postage on UK* orders over £120.

We are pleased to be able to offer a shipping flat rate for all UK mainland parcels of £3.95. Furthermore our Standard Shipping rate covers First Class Royal Mail or Royal Mail Tracked 48** for your parcel.

* UK applies to UK Mainland, and includes England, Wales, Scottish Lowlands. Additional charges may apply for UK - Offshore - see below.

**Larger, heavier orders, such as larger statues, and orders with higher value (over £100) are sent by Royal Mail Tracked Mail or by Courier as standard, so there is no need to pay extra. Our standard delivery charges are based on weight and are automatically calculated on your Order Form. For the UK the minimum postage charge is £2.95 and the maximum is £3.95 (£9.95 for UK - Offshore).

Delivery Charges - UK Offshore

Delivery zone: UK - Offshore - includes Scottish Highlands and Islands, Northern Ireland, Isles of Scilly, Isle of Man, Channel Isles. For parcels up to approximately 2KG in weight, the UK flat rate of £3.95 applies. For heavier orders, an additional charge is made. Currently the minimum shipping charge for UK - Offshore orders is £3.95.

EU Orders - Delivered Duty Unpaid - shipping charges and delivery duties

Shipping for EU orders is charged at cost (using International Tracked where available) and will be automatically calculated on your Order Form based on the delivery address. Currently the minimum shipping charge for EU orders is £9.50. For some EU destinations a courier service is available for larger parcels, which will be shown at checkout.

IMPORTANT: EU Parcels are delivered Duty Unpaid (DDUP) - this means if your order attracts VAT (and duties), this will be collected by the customs authorities of your country, usually via the courier/postal services before being released for delivery.  Please ensure you supply a correct email address and telephone number (preferably a mobile number), so that the customs service can contact you if necessary.  VAT rates vary by country, and for many EU countries either a reduced rate, or zero rate is applicable to books. Other items, such as jewellery, may attract duties in addition to VAT.

To view the shipping charges, please add the items to your Shopping Basket, then confirm the Delivery country to Estimate Delivery charge which will be shown in GPB pounds sterling.  As explained above, this does not include any customs VAT or duties that may be applied at customs.

EU customers wishing to pay VAT up-front, may prefer to purchase books through our Abebooks portal.

Non UK Orders - shipping charges

Shipping for non-UK orders is charged at cost for airmail (tracked where available) and will be automatically calculated on your Order Form based on the delivery address. Currently the minimum shipping charge for non-UK orders is £9.50. For some EU destinations a courier service is available for larger parcels, which will be shown at checkout.

Shipping charges do not include any customs duties or taxes, which will be collected by the customs authorities of your country, usually via the courier/postal services before being released for delivery.  Please ensure you supply a correct email address and telephone number (preferably a mobile number), so that the customs service can contact you if necessary.  NB: Printed matter is duty free in most countries.

To view the shipping charges, please add the items to your Shopping Basket, then confirm the Delivery country to Estimate Delivery charge which will be shown in GPB pounds sterling.

Customers in Australia, wanting to pay GST up-front, may prefer to purchase books through our Abebooks portal.

Extra Shipping

For non-UK orders, occasionally the nature of the product means we need to use an enhanced shipping method (eg international courier) rather than standard airmail, in which case will may need ask you to pay an extra shipping charge before despatching your goods. We will contact you by email or phone to request the additional amount. You will have the option of a refund if you do not wish to proceed. To pay the additional amount, please follow the instructions in your email.

Delivery Schedule

Delivery schedule (NB: this schedule may vary in the current climate - we will process your order as soon as possible): Using standard delivery, we aim to dispatch UK orders within 2-3 working days of order, using Royal Mail First Class postage, Royal Mail tracked, or in the case of larger items DPD courier delivery. In the unlikely event of items being out of stock or out of print, we will contact you by email to discuss delivery schedule or alternative products. Please ensure address details including contact telephone number and especially email address are correct and complete, as we cannot accept responsibility for any orders received with incomplete or inaccurate details. We aim to dispatch all out of stock items within 30 days of order. We are not currently offering next day or timed delivery.

Shipment Tracking

When your order is shipped, you will receive an email telling you how your order has been sent. Most orders are sent by First Class Royal Mail. Some are sent by Royal Mail tracked delivery - if you have been provided with a tracking number, you can track your order via: Royal Mail - https://royalmail.com/track-your-item.  Larger items may be sent by DPD courier - https://track.dpd.co.uk/

Methods of payment

All payments must be made using our online payment gateways, Worldpay, or Paypal. Cenacle does not accept personal cheques, or postal orders.

We have taken great care in presenting the products on our website as accurately as possible. The images you see will depend on your monitor's display and colour capabilities. We are therefore unable to guarantee that the product images you see are an accurate representation of the actual merchandise.

Packaging may vary from that shown. The weights, dimensions and capacities given are approximate only. We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours of our products that appear on the website. However, as the actual colours you see will depend on your monitor, we cannot guarantee that your monitor's display of any colour will accurately reflect the colour of the product on delivery.

If a product is priced inaccurately on our site due to system or typographical errors, we reserve the right to correct any and all errors when they do occur and not to honour inaccurate or erroneous prices. Our prices are also subject to change without notice.

Trade Terms

Trade terms for bookshops, repositories, church and school groups are available on request.  If you wish to place an order via Purchase Order rather than payment online by card, please contact us to request a Trade Account.

Price Policy

While we endeavour to keep our prices up-to-date, prices may be subject to change without notice.  In the unlikely event that we need to charge extra for an item you have already ordered, we will inform you, so that you can cancel the order if you wish.

Credit Card Security

All online credit and debit card payments are processed through the WorldPay secure payment system.  We do not see your credit card details.  Payments are accepted in Pounds sterling, Euros and US Dollars.  See below for the types of cards accepted. We also accept American Express (Amex) card payments. We also accept Payment by PayPal.
